Armed forces resettlement courses
JBC Computer Training Ltd
- What will I come away with after doing this training?
- What are the facilities like?
- Are jobs available in my area or will I be expected to move?
- What qualifications will I get on the employment guarantee course?
- At what point during my resettlement should I do this training?
- What do I do if I'm interested?
- I am experienced in networking and require qualifications rather than employment?
This is the most common question asked by forces candidates when investigating what we offer. In no particular order you can leave with a job, knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications, contacts, new friends and probably brain fatigue. Some of these require your hard work and effort, some a degree of ability and some need a pleasant friendly disposition. We will focus on what you want to achieve (qualification, job, interest etc.), decide on what is actually achievable it the time available, then we will advise you on what you need to do to achieve it. Whatever your goal, you will have our full commitment to making sure that reach it.

Are jobs available in my area or will I be expected to move?
Jobs in the IT industry are available everywhere and it is certainly not a condition of our guarantee that you move to find employment. Our success in finding positions from Truro to Inverness and Norwich to Swansea is proof of this.

What qualifications will I get on the Employment Guarantee course?
All students who complete their programme of study on our 7 week course will receive an advanced Diploma as a Network Support Practitioner from City & Guilds. Also you can use the knowledge gained to take some or all of the Comptia A+, N+ ,Security+, Microsoft MCSA and Cisco CCNA certifications. Our Employment Guarantee applies providing students complete their allotted training it is not conditional on passing any external qualifications. In other words, we are confident that you will gain employment based on the level of practical skills achieved rather than the number of exams passed.

At what point during my resettlement should I do this training?
We believe that you should not leave your training until the last minute. Attending the training early allows you to use your remaining time in the forces more effectively to help with the transition to civilian life and work. It also helps avoid any problems associated with last minute call ups. Again this can be discussed fully at your interview.

What should I do if I'm interested?
